Elves couldn’t be much busier than Jennifer Brewer. You’ll find her in a small room in The Farm Basket, surrounded by ribbons, bows, tape and all kinds of Christmas wrapping paper.

Here, she wraps 300 or so items a day during the Christmas season — gifts destined for placement underneath trees in the Lynchburg area and beyond.

Trends Magazine helps us announce our newest shop, pinklady in November 2011, Holiday Edition (page 17)

Farmbasket is tickled pink to announce plans for their newest shop, pinklady. "We've been working towards this for several years and to see pinklady finally coming together is exciting," said Kerry Giles, Manager of farmbasket. With a grand opening in February, local Lilly lovers will not have to travel far to experience the unique world of Lilly Pulitzer.

From a Fruit Stand to the Farm Basket.

Lynchburg's Business Magazine features 'our story' in the August 2011 Issue!

Step back in time to nearly 50 years ago. In the year 1964, Perkins Flippin, the owner of an orchard in Nelson County, brought her hail damaged apples to sell at a fruit stand on the side of the road in Lynchburg. From that small entrepreneurial endeavor, a seed was planted and, much like her apples, it grew to become what is fondly known of today as The Farm Basket.

An ice cream social hosted by Hill City Bride celebrating their first anniversary featured yummy ideas for creating your own sundaes. From fresh local blueberries to the divine raspberry chocolate sauce, farmbasket created a mouth-watering spread for topping your favorite. Farmbasket's creekside deck was the perfect setting for this "hot" summer social.
